Steps to choosing your natural gas supplier during your move
Call your utility
Before you move into your new residence, make it one of your first priorities to contact the natural gas utility in your area. Every utility may have different inspection and installation procedures before your service can begin. We recommend that you call your utility at least seven days in advance to ensure that your residence will be equipped with utility service when you are ready for the service to begin.
Establish your utility account
Many utility companies let customers sign up for service by phone or online. Keep in mind that you’ll likely need to provide your utility with information including your name, driver’s license information, service address, phone number, social security number and, in some cases, your employment information. When you move, don’t forget to call your existing utility company to terminate your gas (or any) service at your present address. Most companies will use an estimate based on your previous usage to determine the final bill.
Then sign up with Symmetry Energy Solutions
Once you have a utility account number and have received your first bill from your utility, you can sign up with us. Choose our predictable fixed rate and have peace of mind knowing the rate you pay for natural gas won't change no matter how much the market price of natural gas might fluctuate.
In case of emergency
Leave immediately on foot and go directly to a safe location, then call both your gas utility company and 9-1-1. Alert your neighbors, warn others to stay away from the leak, and never try to repair a natural gas leak yourself.
